We have worked very hard to grow our herd of commercial Simmental cattle. They are mostly black or black with a white face cattle. Julie loves the baldy or speckled face babies, so we usually have to keep a few of those heifers around too.
In 2022, Julie got a wild hair and mentioned adding some hairy cattle to the homestead. John, being the supportive husband he is, started researching. In November, we brought home our first 3. Our love for them has only grown. They each have completely differing personalities.
John was raising labs before Julie was ever in the picture. His passion is raising animals, and dogs were definitely a favorite. Although selling puppies is getting harder and harder, after a short break, we've decided to have another litter.
Birds are another animal that John has always had an affinity for. We've dwindled down to only have chickens. They are so fun, they come running when they think they are getting some kitchen scraps.
What's a farm without a few good mousers? We love our around here kitties too! They bring the laughs every day.
We also have a couple horses, of differing sizes. We have Penny, and Dixie, the mini.
